At Signature Homes, we believe a home is more than the walls, finishes and details that bring it together. It’s the result of people working together – bringing experience, expertise, creativity and care to every stage of the process.
This September, we’re taking time to recognize the talented women and men whose dedication helps shape the homes and communities we’re proud to build. Professional Women in Building Week and National Construction Appreciation Week offer an opportunity to celebrate the people behind the industry and the many career paths that make homebuilding possible.
Celebrating Women in Building
Organized by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Professional Women in Building Week recognizes the contributions women make across every area of residential construction – from the trades and construction management to architecture, design, sales, marketing, finance and leadership. The 2026 celebration focuses on supporting the next generation, celebrating women in the trades, recognizing the growing presence of women in building and encouraging greater diversity throughout the industry.
At Signature Homes, supporting women in the building industry is more than a one-week celebration. It’s an ongoing commitment to creating opportunities, developing leadership and helping the next generation see homebuilding as a place where they can build a rewarding career.
That commitment is reflected in the leadership of Juliann Cretsinger, Executive Vice President of Signature Homes, who has spent years helping advance opportunities for women throughout the homebuilding industry.
Juliann is a founding member of the steering committee for the BIA|Bay Area Women’s Leadership Conference, which is now entering its ninth year. Signature Homes is proud to sponsor the 2026 conference, Women in the Lead: Still We Build, taking place October 23rd. The event brings women from across the homebuilding industry together for a day focused on inspiration, education, motivation and leadership.
Juliann also serves on the steering committee of the Women’s Housing Leadership Group of Northern California, an organization created to help elevate women into executive leadership positions within the homebuilding industry. The group provides leadership development, workshops and opportunities for women to expand their influence and grow their careers.
For Signature Homes, supporting these organizations is one way to help strengthen the industry – not only by recognizing the women leading today, but by creating opportunities for those who will lead tomorrow.
Recognizing Everyone Who Helps Build a Home
National Construction Appreciation Week recognizes the hardworking professionals who help build the homes, infrastructure and communities we rely on every day. The annual observance was created to recognize the value construction professionals bring to our everyday lives and to inspire the next generation to consider careers in construction.
For Signature Homes, that means recognizing the many people who turn an idea into a place someone can call home in all our new home communities at Balboa and Catalina at Delta Shores in Sacramento, and Clearwater and Enclave at River Islands in Lathrop, California.
There are countless roles behind every completed home. From construction managers, superintendents and skilled tradespeople to architects, engineers, designers, sales professionals, marketers, purchasing teams and countless trade partners and suppliers, each person plays an important role.
It takes coordination, communication and expertise at every step. It takes people who know how to solve problems, pay attention to the details and take pride in getting the job done right. And it takes a team.
That teamwork is one of the things that makes the homebuilding industry so rewarding. There are opportunities to work with your hands, manage projects, solve complex challenges, create beautiful spaces, work with customers, lead teams and build communities that people will enjoy for years to come.
Thank You for Helping Us Build
To our Signature Homes team members, consultants, vendors and trade partners who contribute their knowledge and expertise. And to everyone who plays a role in creating the places people are proud to call home – we appreciate you. At Signature Homes, we’re proud to be part of an industry where people come together to build something that lasts.
Because every home has a story behind it — and that story starts with the people who build it.
