Signature Homes - New Home Builder in the Bay Area

While Father’s Day this year may look a little different that we’re used to, there are still plenty of opportunities to bond with dad over great meals and fun activities for the whole family – both indoor and out! Here are some of our favorite picks from local businesses nearby our Signature Homes communities.

Locally Made Gifts

Cheer dad up with a thoughtful present! An aspiring mixologist will appreciate a cocktail kit from The Epicurean Trader, a specialty food and beverage store in San Francisco that ships nationwide, no need to step foot in the store.

If dad’s got style, Covet, a Sacramento-based leather works boutique, makes quality razor covers, luggage tags and other goods, including custom requests.

WE LOVE SAC so ya know I had to recreate this Tower Bridge shot in stencil form. To be honest I thought that this photo was going to be much easier and would involve less standing in the middle of the street, but you gotta do what you gotta do  Two of our local team members are from Sacramento originally, and our two newest Sactown transplants are still trying to figure out if they like it or not, ha! Regardless, we are all learning to work where we’re at, with the tools, resources, and time we have, while planning for our future growth and success. I personally am super grateful that Sac is where Stencil Stop ended up. The city’s vibe matches reflects how I view our company: scrappy, resourceful, and underestimated :muscle: . . . #stencilstop #stencil #stencilart #art #artsandcrafts #diy #hobbyist #instagraffiti #stencilartist #sprayart #stencils #stenciling #stencilling #stencilartwork #painting #crafts #doityourself #handmade #lifehacks #hobby #diycrafts #diyideas #downtownsac #bridge #california #towerbridge #sacramento #sac #sactown

Treat Him to Golf

Spend some quali-tee time with Dad at a driving range. Foxtail Golf Club is a great option in Rohnert Park, while Roseville residents will love the stunning and walkable Sierra View Country Club.

Virtual History Tour

The tour lets you explore what life was like in 19th century Sacramento with gripping true stories that follow in the footsteps of murderers, ne’er-do-wells and common citizens alike.

May 29, 1880 On this day in 1880, the Sacramento Daily-Record Union published a full page history of the Huntington, Hopkins, & Company. Originally located at 54 K Street, and later re-numbered to 220-222 K Street in 1880, Collis P. Huntington and Mark Hopkins opened their hardware store in 1855. In 1861, the firm expanded and purchased the building next door. The second floor of these buildings served as the first offices of the Central Pacific Railroad Company from 1862 to 1873. In 1878, the hardware store was remodeled. The Huntington, Hopkins, & Company building was demolished in 1966 as a result of the construction of the Interstate 5 Freeway. It was reconstructed in 1970 on I Street between Front and Second Street. The building today is modeled after its 1861-1877 exterior appearance of the hardware store and is part of Old Sacramento State Historic Park. • • • • #thisdayinhistory #onthisday #thenandnow #oldsac #oldsacramento #oldsacramentowaterfront #sacramento #sacmuseums #downtownsac #castateparks #museumathome #sachistorymuseum

Scenic Bike Ride

If dad’s been craving an outdoor adventure, book him a fun ride on the Sacramento Railbikes near Natomas – the newest attraction brought by the local favorite Sacramento RiverTrain. These pedal-powered vehicles take riders on a roughly 1.5-hour trip on a private, isolated railway, through a beautiful stretch of Yolo County, with views you can’t get anywhere else!
