No Carve Pumpkin Ideas:
It’s impossible to imagine your annual Halloween without carved pumpkins…or is it? There is no doubt that carved pumpkins are magical and nostalgic during this time of year but here are a few no-carve ideas that look amazing and may change your mind about gutting your gourd this year!
Pom-Pom Pumpkins: Glue colored pom-poms to a plain or painted pumpkin using tacky glue.
Stickers: Paint your pumpkin black and adhere shiny silver stars, adhesive letters and sparkly designs.
Tattooed Pumpkins: Apply temporary tattoo for an edgy, eye-catching pumpkin.
Sweater Pumpkins: Use an old sweater and twine to keep your pumpkin warm and looking festive.
Menacing Mummy: Use cheesecloth and black construction paper to create this mummy.
Glitter: Paint a pumpkin your favorite color, hot glue on rhinestones and sprinkle with glitter to add some sparkle. Masquerade Masks: Paint your pumpkin a bright color, then add a fancy feathered mask.
Elaborate Sharpie Patterns: Pumpkins are the perfect canvas for Sharpie designs, so go crazy.
If you do decide to scoop out those seeds, here are is a new spin on an old favorite: Rinse 2 cups pumpkin seeds, and add 2 tbs melted butter, 6 tsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp nutmeg, ⅛ tsp cloves and stir. Spread flat on a baking sheet and roast at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, stir and roast 10 more minutes or until golden brown.
