Located just 35 miles east of San Francisco, the Livermore Valley is one of California’s premier wine regions. 2015 will mark the first time since Prohibition the Livermore Valley wine country is once again home to at least 50 wineries. With each winery offering a unique and friendly charm, wine connoisseurs consider the region one of California’s hidden gems. Step out your front door and start your own #SigHomesAdventure and experience the beautiful wine region for a day or weekend.
“Livermore Valley wineries are still family-owned and -operated, providing a glimpse of what Napa Valley was like forty years ago. With more than fifty wineries” to choose from, “visitors have a chance to experience fifty unique styles of wine. Also, the traffic is lighter” in the Livermore Valley than in the Napa Valley, “giving visitors a chance to linger over their wines, often while speaking directly with the owner or winemaker.”- Fifteenth-generation farmer and UC Davis alum John Kinney, founder of and winemaker at Livermore’s Occasio Winery told Feast Bay.

The Vasco Road Stroll itinerary gives you the opportunity to explore a different part of Livermore Valley wine country for a great afternoon of wine tasting with a minimum of driving. Start at Longevity Wines, not far from where Vasco Road meets Tesla. Just a few steps down Vasco Road is Occasio Winery. Right next door is Nottingham Cellars, a boutique winery dedicated to bringing guests the best of Livermore Valley at an exceptional value. A 5-minute walk away, you will find Eckert Estate Winery, a small family-owned winery that specializes in lesser-known Italian, Portuguese and French grape varieties.
Wine Wednesdays. Each Wednesday through November, one Livermore Valley winery will be open from 5-8pm to help guests wine-down from a hefty work week or just grab a taste of wine before heading out to a fabulous dinner.
Livermore Wine Trolley offers all inclusive guided wine tours, private charter, and special tour events throughout the year in the Livermore Valley.
Campo di Bocce of Livermore has become a fixture among locals looking to enjoy a fine glass of wine.
